In addition to the Castro Riberas de Lea fair held every Wednesday and the Castro de Rei fair, both major tourist and gastronomic complements, the council has a health center, and many dining establishments where you can enjoy a great cuisine. The Castro Riberas de Lea fair is one of the most visited fairs throughout the province. It has craft stalls and a flea market, but also offers the opportunity to enjoy a delicious octopus dish. We’re talking about hundreds of people visiting the town during the summer months.
Regarding business, the future expansion of the business park of Castro Ribeiras de Lea is “of vital importance” since the arrival of new companies is expected following the implementation of the technological pole of Rozas, which will attract new projects business to the municipality. Around 18 companies are expected to demand land in the area. One of the great advantages of the business park of Castro is its strategic location as it is a five minute drive from the highway connecting Northwest (A-6) in Outeiro de Rei and ten minutes from the connection of the Cantabrian motorway (A-8) in Abadín, making it a very attractive location. Xestur plans to start the development works of the polygon in September and is expected to execute the works over the next year. At present, the industrial area of Castro has 27 companies, which create around 350 jobs. This is the third business park in importance of the province of Lugo.
